ughhh I keep salivating about these bathing suits I ordered!!!!

I’m super glad forever 21 restocked them and I will hopefully get the black one later this summer and that will be 3 bathing suits for ~$90 which is like, 1 bathing suit on modcloth.

Also important step 4 me, I got these in a 1x based on forever 21s size chart and I think this is the first time I’ve ever bought something officially ~plus sized~ which i have avoided doing 5ever because of my mother/ stigma/ etc. But like, if it fits it fits! My body isn’t going to suddenly change because I was cautious and got a 1x instead of XL.

so at midnight, May 21 I was legally able to begin celebrating my golden birthday! For my first drink I had a salty turtle, which is like salted caramel and chocolate liquor and shit like that, and later a pear cider that was refreshing and delicious. I have actual birthday plans for the real day of May 21 but planned last minute to go downtown with my loves Martin and Fiona. We ended up sitting in Fiona’s car in front of a taco bell until 4:30 AM and the last thing we did was watch a/the? cakefarts video.

ok mini rant

so I’m reading a reddit thread about fat/skinny people and it is irking me too no fucking end all of the people being like “its equally offensive for people to tell me to eat a sandwich as a skinny person” and it is kind of hilarious because that is literally the ONLY example anyone can say!! the ONLY ONE. It has appeared 9 times by my count.

like, yes, anyone commenting on the eating habits of other people is rude. but like, that definitely doesn’t compare to the shit that you hear when you’re fat and the shame that comes with it. God I would kill for someone to be like “girl you need to eat another slice of pizza!” instead of not eating more even if I want to/ am hungry because I don’t want people to think “of course the fat girl is getting another slice of pizza.” I would take a slight jab at my thinness (if I was) over being sad and mad and paranoid of judgement every. fucking. time. And all of these people are acting like its the worst fucking thing in the world!!

Honestly every time I’ve ever heard anyone be like “eat more!” to a thin person its been in a kind of jealous/admiring way, not a thin-is-gross way. Because no one thinks being thin is gross! But being fat is gross!

And what is most exhausting is that I know that some skinny person can comment on this about how that sandwich comment really is so hurtful, and I just can’t deal with it because living a life of constant shaming from multiple directions sucks and you can’t make someone understand how that compares to a one-off comment about getting to eat more.
